Scarlino (ITA)
10 – 14 October 2023
Close and competitive racing down to the wire was the hallmark of the Swan One Design Worlds as the 2023 ClubSwan Racing season concluded in the picturesque Marina di Scarlino, along the magnificent Tuscan coastline.
Sailors from 25 countries raced aboard the 36 yachts divided into three fleets. The Cuordileone, Mela and G Spot teams won the title of World Champions in their respective classes (ClubSwan 50, 42 and 36). Furthermore, Cuordileone’s performance, together with that of Far Star, saw Italy take the first place in the Nations ranking.
As always, the social scene ashore was the true highlight of the event, with Banor as a main player. During the Gala Dinner & ClubSwan Charity Auction for the Ocean, Giacomo Mergoni explained the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, such as the collaboration with Marevivo, and the attention to ESG investments.
On the final day, Giorgio de Montis handed two special prizes to the winners and received recognition on behalf of Banor for having been the main sponsor of the circuit for the fifth consecutive year.
“We are pleased to have renewed our collaboration with ClubSwan Racing again this year by supporting the 2023 Swan One Design Nations League circuit. The values of this fascinating sport, with its team spirit, collaboration and the will to achieve results with dedication and passion, are fully shared by an asset manager like Banor” said Banor CEO Massimiliano Cagliero.

In Puntaldia, daily prizes were awarded by Garmin, Gottifredi Maffioli and Quantum Sails. The ship owners’ dinner was organised at the Hotel Due Lune and the crews’ party took place in Marie-Hélène Polo’s villa, where guests enjoyed Tassoni cocktails.
“Thanks to all the teams who chose to compete on our championships and thanks to the partners who made it possible to organise such an amazing event,” said Marie-Hélène Polo, CEO of Marina di Puntaldia Srl.
